Boiling or Boiled?

How do you stop fish from smelling? You cut off their noses.
Didn’t peel the potatoes early enough? Mom is on the way in the door? Throw in baking soda.
These and other weird thoughts came to me via my grade nine science teacher. I used to puzzle beyond them. When do fish really begin to smell? Wouldn’t Mom figure it out when the potatoes took ages to cook?? Wouldn’t they taste funny?
God created the boiling point of water to be 212°F (100°C) at standard air pressure. God gave us a recommended temperature too.
Revelation 3:15-17- I know your [record of] works and what you are doing; you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth! For you say, I am rich; I have prospered and grown wealthy, and I am in need of nothing; and you do not realize and understand that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.
Prayer: Almighty God, show us where we are not at your boiling point and heat us with your grace. Amen.
