The Twitter hash tag is #Linsanity.
Short for the phenomenon that is Jeremy Lin.
Taking the NBA by Storm
Pro basketball player Jeremy Lin was unrecruited out of high school and undrafted out of college. Three weeks ago he was sent to the developmental league (the minor league) of the NBA.
Three days later he returned as a benchwarmer for the New York Knicks.
On February 4, he burst upon the national scene when he scored 25 points, with 5 rebounds and 7 assists. In the week since

In 2011 there was a lot of talk in the Christian blogosphere about “celebrity pastors” and “mega-star ministry leaders.” I’ve blogged a bit about servant leadership here, here, here, here, and here.
I hadn’t thought about it much lately until I read a recent piece in Sports Illustrated by photographer Walter Iooss, Jr. He tells some great war stories about famous athletes.
Of particular note was his story of doing a photo shoot with LeBron James.

I’m a die-hard Chicago Bears fan and have been since 1969 when I was ten years old and the Bears were 1-13. No band-wagon-jumper, I’ve also been a Lovie Smith fan ever since the Bears hired him in 2004. Oft maligned by the media, especially in Chicago, Smith is loved and respected by his players. That, combined with his track record of success at every level of football, both as a player and a coach, leads to today’s post, What Leaders Can Learn from Bears’ Coach Lovie Smith.
1. Build a

Next week during Christmas Eve worship many of us will sing “Silent Night,” often reverently with candles in hand at the end of the service.
Basketball fans at Taylor University – a Christian college between Fort Wayne, Ind., and Indianapolis – have a different, non-traditional and, quite frankly, really cool take on the hymn.
To fully appreciate it you just need to watch the YouTube video below.
In a nutshell, Taylor plays a home game the Friday before finals week, The packed gym in
