On March 30, Sparrow Records released the latest CD by Amy Grant, “Somewhere Down the Road.” A combination of some of Grant’s old songs coupled with some new including “Overnight” which features her daughter, Sarah Chapman. “Overnight” not only stands out because of the mother/daughter duet but is an encouragement for all who are waiting for a miracle; “If it all just happened overnight – You would never learn to believe” pretty much says it all.
“Somewhere Down the Road” is like a journey through life asking questions and finding answers. Topics in Grant’s story telling fashion include along with waiting for miracles in ‘Overnight”, being honest with God and yourself, facing fears and walking in someone else’s shoes in “Third World Woman”.
The songs on the CD “Somewhere Down the Road” are:
Better Than a Hallelujah
Overnight
Every Road
Unafraid
Hard Times
What Is the Chance of That?
Somewhere Down the Road
Third World Woman
Find What You’re Looking For
Come Into My World
Arms of Love (new version)
Imagine/Sing the Wondrous Love of Jesus (a medley)
