Our faith, at times, becomes stagnant. We’ve all been through it before, when you take quick account of your current spiritual walk at wonder if you’re truly growing, if you’re truly passionate about your faith and about God.
Excited About God
When is the last time you were excited about God? I encourage those who are reading this to respond.
I remember one time when I heard a Christian song that I hadn’t heard for awhile again. It took me back, and I was able to connect my current trials and successes to the lyrics, which were inspirational.
Situations like these are a great time to worship God for all of the blessings He has bestowed, and for the many things that we have only Him to thank.
Motivation
It is important to find a place, a way, a state of mind, or whatever it takes to clear you mind and approach the glory of God.
For some of us it is music, a book, or some other kind of artistic connection. Perhaps for others the very act of reading the Bible can rejuvenate one’s spirit and find joy and conviction in God.
Whatever it takes, take a moment to immerse yourself in your favorite passage, listen to a joyful song, or remember someone who has changed your life. Whatever it takes we should find joy and excitement in God’s glory, which is great.
I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
(Isaiah 61:10)
