The last two weeks has been a self-generated nightmare for golf superstar Tiger Woods.
Revelations of extramarital affairs have put the ordinarily private Woods in an unprecedented spotlight.
Tonight Woods said on his Website he is taking a “hiatus” from playing golf. In the statement for the first time he mentions “infidelity” regarding his wife Elin.
Woods is still chasing golf’s most legendary mark, the 18 major championships won by Jack Nicklaus. Nicklaus came out earlier this week in support of Woods and believed the attention he was receiving was undue.
When Woods first has accident, I commented that the effects would likely linger for quite some time. That now seems assured as Woods tries to repair his fractured relationships.
