I am blessed to have been married to a wonderful woman for the past 18 years, with whom I’ve shared joy and heartbreak and had three children along the way. So, needless to say, dating is not something I’ve done since Bush was President…George H.W. Bush, that is.
That being said, let me just say I find this story, a bit, how shall I say, odd.
Colby Brin is a 31-year-old man with no startlingly negative physical attributes. When he speaks he comes off as a nice man. His mother, Geri would agree with that – so much so she has created a Web site to find potential brides for him.
He said he still plays the field independently, but that he loves his mom and what she is doing nonetheless.
I love my mom too, but I don’t recall wanting her to set me up on dates when I was 15, much less 31, educated and gainfully employed.
Maybe there is something here that I’m missing. Perhaps Colby is as OK with this idea as he professes to be. You decide.
