Isaiah 54:5-For thy maker is thine husband, the Lord of Hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; the God of the whole earth shall he be called (KJV).
My hubby is a soft-hearted romantic who loves to write little notes to me. I often find one tucked in my office files, my brief case or even a kitchen cupboard. I treasure each one, but this one was extra-special.
My Special Flower
In God’s garden where He grew flowers divine,
He grew a special flower, so beautiful, so fine.
He grew this special flower-
‘Cause He knew it would be mine!
Still, as great as my guy is, he isn’t the best husband ever. God promises that He, our Maker is our husband. That is, if we have entered into a personal relationship with Him.
Heavenly Spouse
Some may not be so blessed as to have a partner here,
But God has promised He’ll be spouse, to cherish, guide and cheer.
Prayer: Lord, thanks for reminding us that You are the best of the best. Creator. Husband. Father. Redeemer. Friend. Amen.
