I’ve just been accused of being a ‘religious Christian.’ What? So apparently you can be a Christian, but not be the religious kind? I had to study and ponder on this for a while.
If you are religious, you believe in and show devotion to your God. If you are a Christian, you only have to accept Christ’s teaching from the Gospels.
What? WHAT!?
For me, it’s an all or nothing, clear-cut thing. You either love Jesus and wish to obey him or you don’t.
How about you? Did you join a church whose aim is to love and serve Christ no matter what?
Are you in a church just for the business contacts? Did you join a church just to get on the board and get control?
He wants us—all or nothing. Do you think you can get off with anything less?
(1 Corinthians 10:22, MSG)
Prayer – Lord, don’t let us settle for nothing. Amen
