Check inside your used coffee pods, friends, and you will find a lot of dry coffee grounds. The water doesn’t touch them at all. That means half of your coffee is wasted. A YouTube message explained that we should poke a hole in the bottom before we use the pod. That way all the coffee gets in touch with the water and adds its flavour to the cup.
How much does the Holy Spirit flavour you? Have you opened your heart to all of him? Do you let him deal with those small deep hidden spots of greed, self-satisfaction and more? Is your disobedience shuffled under your tithing and other good works?
Do your hidden sins suddenly burst forth in a sharp comment or rude remark? Do others question “Where did that come from?”
What part of you are you refusing to hand over to the Lord? What disobedience of self are you hiding under your good reputation?
Jesus said this.
When he (the Holy Spirit) comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment. About sin, because people do not believe in me. About righteousness, because I am going to the father, where you can see me no longer; and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned. (John 16:8-11)
Our sin will be exposed one way or another. Isn’t it time to help the process, instead of prolonging it?
Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. (James 5:16)
