“Yeah, I have a plan.”
“Is it a good one?”
“I have a plan.”
“Seriously; this awful thing happens to me and all you have to say is that you have a plan!”
“Yes I do.”
“Well then, explain yourself!”
“All in due time; it’s the same one I use for everyone; my thoughts and plans for you.”
“What, I don’t even get my own plan?”
“Well, certainly it’s yours in the details.”
“So far, I don’t like it.”
“I understand, but it’s for your welfare, your peace and your hope.”
“Great, so now I’m going on welfare? Really?”
“Yep; the very best kind. Not a handout, but a hand up.”
“And piece? A piece of what? I have nothing.”
“I’m not talking p-i-e-c-e, but p-e-a-c-e. Come now. Let’s talk about this.
Let’s reason together. You will call me. I will answer.”
“Where will you be?”
“You will look for me with your whole heart.”
“Are you saying you are all I need?”
“Absolutely; In fact, you might even say I am your one vital necessity.”
“How can I find you?”
“You will look and I will be found.”
“Then there is hope, Lord? There really is hope? Hope and a future?”
Amen. (So be it!) (Based on Jeremiah 29:11,Isaiah 1:8)
Prayer – Lord, thank you for your plans for us, plans that give us welfare, peace and hope. Amen
