Anger and You

Are you a water jug container, one who knows that they are angry and yet refuses to air it, no matter the personal cost?

Perhaps you are a slice of pie. You segment your anger into different parts of your life. You talk fiercely about what you will do, but to the wrong person.

Not you, then how about this one. You are a stick of dynamite exploding in every direction but mostly at those who are less powerful than you.

Your anger is killing you. It is causing stomach acid, heartburn, high blood pressure and more.
It is thought that emotions like anger may be the cause of many addictions.

Let’s get at the root of the wildness in our life. We eat/drink/ gamble/etc too much because we don’t care enough about ourselves to care about ourselves.

How can you address your anger, work your way through it and come out on the other side, free just as Christ promised us.

Go ahead and be angry. You do well to be angry—but don’t use your anger as fuel for revenge. And don’t stay angry. Don’t go to bed angry. Don’t give the Devil that kind of foothold in your life. (Ephesians 4:26-27, MSG)

Prayer- Lord, help us through our anger to wholeness in you. Amen.
