Are We Growing Up

Are we tender-hearted toward others? Are we patient with the young and compassionate to our elders? Do we encourage the desperate and tolerate those whose faults seem larger than ours?

Are we doing something everyday for someone who doesn’t deserve it or expect it; someone who will never be able to repay us?  Do we care when others don’t? Do we look at both sides of a story before choosing sides? Can we honestly say we try to diffuse a quarrel rather than spouting words that escalate it?

None of us are perfect at this stuff, but there is hope!

My dear friends, we always have good reason to thank God for you, because your faith in God and your love for each other keep growing all the time. (2 Thessalonians 1:3, CEV)

Be the rainbow in someone else’s cloud.
~Maya Angelou

Prayer – Lord, only your grace makes any of this possible. Grace us Lord, Grace us. Amen
