Do you ever ask yourself why; why am I alone; why did the kids turnout the way they did; why did I lose my job; why am I sick? Why, why and why?
I came across these verses this week.
Why do you contend against Him? For He does not give account of any of His actions. [Sufficient for us it should be to know that it is He Who does them.] (Job 33:13, AMP)
Did you catch that? It should be enough for us to know that God allowed these things and that alone should be enough for us.
The next verse tells us that we truly already know the why.
For God [does reveal His will; He] speaks not only once, but more than once, even though men do not regard it [including you, Job]. (Job 33:14, AMP)
God tries to get our attention through a myriad of ways; everything from dreams (from Job 33:15), through pain and sickness, (from Job 33:19-20), messengers, even angels and interpreters. (from Job 33:23)
Our question should not be… why God. Our question should be…What is God saying to me?
Prayer – Lord, help us hear your messages before it is too late. For Christ who left such a clear message for all of us. Amen
