Are Your Susceptible?

Did you read the list of November 18? Here is the behavior we can expect from those folks. Ladies, we are the most susceptible. Pray that God will protect you.

These are the kind of people who smooth-talk themselves
into the homes of unstable and needy women
-and take advantage of them;
women who, depressed by their sinfulness,
Take up with every new religious fad that calls itself “truth.”
– They get exploited every time and never really learn.

And the people who exploit us have these qualities.
-They were rejects from the faith,
– twisted in their thinking,
-defying truth itself.

Thankfully God promises this.
But nothing will come of these latest impostors.
Everyone will see through them. (From 2 Timothy 3:6-9, MSG)

It sounds like we have no hope, doesn’t it? But that is not true. We must pray for our eyes to be opened, our hearts to be clean before God and for his truth to show itself to us. And so we pray today.

Prayer- Father God, open our eyes to your truth. We do not want to be unstable or needy like the women described here. We do not want to be deceived into foolishness or disobedience to you. Help us, God, we plead for the sake of Christ. Amen.
