Balanced

I learned something new in my exercise class today. When you are trying to keep your balance, especially when you are standing on one foot, it is helpful to eye an object ahead of you and stare straight ahead at that one thing.

So of course I made a spiritual deduction from this. Haven’t we all had days when we feel like we haven’t a leg left to stand on? I’ve had a few these last weeks. Here it is the second year since Ron died and still, some days I am at a total loss in how to cope. But between the Bible and my exercise class, I am learning all over again, to stare straight ahead. Place my eyes upon Jesus! And there I will find balance. I will be less likely to fall.

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,To the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.  (Jude 1:24-25, KJV)

Prayer: Lord, help us remember your truths before we get down to our last leg. Amen.
