Rosemary Rennison included this recipe in the fiftieth edition of the June International Good News Fellowship Newsletter. I love recipes that that are fast, ‘unthinkable’ and delicious, don’t you?
Bang, Bang Chicken Salad (Serves 4)
2 large chicken breast pieces, sliced into four portions
Sesame oil
½ cup crunchy peanut butter
2 tablespoons water
Mixed salad of choice for four people
Heat the sesame oil in a fry pan and cook the chicken a few minutes on each side till done. Drain on a paper towel. Microwave the peanut butter with the water, stirring every few seconds until runny. Place the warm chicken on the salad and drizzle the peanut butter over the chicken. Yum!
Now we can water down peanut butter, but not the truth about the Saviour who lived and then died and rose again on our behalf.
If I were preaching that old message, no one would be offended if I mentioned the Cross now and then—it would be so watered-down it wouldn’t matter one way or the other. (Galatians 5:11b, MSG)
Prayer – Lord, may we never treat you like we treat our recipe ingredients. Amen
