After yesterday’s ice cream debacle, I received Bruce Atchison’s five star review for my new book, “God, Gluttony & You.”
His comments include phrases like this:
“Brenda J. Wood methodically lays out her steps for properly respecting what God has given us to look after: our bodies, the temple of the Holy Spirit.”
“Wood makes her case for the Christian’s mastery over appetite.”
And this one that really stung:
“Christians can be guilty of letting their bellies rule their brains, not the other way around.”
Do I know what to do about over eating? (Yes.) Did I do it? (No)
What does the Bible say about that?
Any person who knows what is right to do but does not do it, to him it is sin. (James 4:17, AMP)
But thankfully it also says: “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.” (John 8:7, AMP)
Aren’t we glad of forgiveness?
Prayer- Lord, we can’t say forgive us because we don’t know what we do. We do…and you still forgive us. Thank you! Amen
