Better Behavior Through My Savior

T.S. Jingler (pseudonym for Anton Stander) begged me to forgive all lapses in rhythm or rhyme and jingled my plight.

A Better Brenda

Because I've been lax in prayer, I've been a bit nasty here and there,
On the road to kindness I've stumbled and even to family I've grumbled.
Once or twice I acted the jerk at an innocent but rather slow clerk.
And I really should keep quiet about failing to stick to my diet!
It's lucky I don't have a pet or the S.P.C.A. would be quite upset.
I surely can't see all of this through and already know what I must do.
Best thing anyone can easily afford, I'll go to the Throne of my Lord
There I shall fine kind redress as I open my heart and confess,
I shall brook nothing that restrains me while He instantly sustains me,
Rejoicing I'll go on my way into a cloudless day,
Of better behavior through Christ Jesus my Savior.

Psalm 119: 49-50- Remember what you said to me, your servant—I hang on to these words for dear life! These words hold me up in bad times; yes, your promises rejuvenate me (MSG).

Prayer: Lord, may we speak into someone’s life today, so that they too are reminded of the healing power of your grace. In Christ. Amen.
