Bring On Joy

The circumstances differ in the verses below but everyone, in every circumstance found reason to rejoice. Surely we can do the same!

For the Lord your God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete. (Deuteronomy 16:15b, NIV)

They blessed the king and then went home, joyful and glad in heart for all the good things the Lord had done for his servant David and his people Israel. (1 Kings 8:66, NIV)

Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his dwelling place. (1 Chronicles 16:27, NIV)

Let the trees of the forest sing, let them sing for joy before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth. (1 Chronicles 16:33, NIV)

And on that day they offered great sacrifices, rejoicing because God had given them great joy.. (Nehemiah 12:43a, NIV)

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. (Luke 2:10, NIV)

Prayer – Lord, give us the grace to recognize joy and be joyful, especially in this Christmas season. Amen
