We struggle with our sandwich fillings because we long for something. When we re-direct our longing toward the Christ, we won’t need that thing we have been avoiding or clinging to. He, our God, fulfills the deepest longings of our soul.
And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:13, KJV)
Find your real treasure in the Christ.
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (Matthew 6:21, AMP)
Today is a fresh, new day. Stop lugging the guilt of yesterday’s sandwich fillings and flat tires. Spend time in prayer and confession. Expect great things of God. We beg for dry crumbs while he wants to give us a whole pan of cinnamon buns with icing!
