Chicago Clergy Addresses Rampant Gun Violence

Gun violence in the City of Chicago is skyrocketing.

In June alone, 49 homicides were recorded.

The striking down of the city’s handgun ban by the Supreme Court last week prompted the City Council to quickly rewrite its gun ordinance.

That being done, laws alone obviously won’t stop the killings.

Four prominent Chicago clergy weighed in on the topic, many pointing to systemic cultural issues as the root causes.
