Christ in the Old Testament (Sinless)

We know that Christ led a sinless life and here is the Old Testament prophecy.

“The animals you choose must be year-old males without defect, and you may take them from the sheep or the goats” (See Exodus 12:5).

And here is the New.

“How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!” (See Hebrews 9:14)

Our Christ humbled himself, took a lower position, on our behalf.

“You made them a little lower than the angels, crowned them with glory and honor. You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet” (Psalm 8:5–6)

And here is the new.

“It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking. But there is a place where someone has testified:

“In putting everything under them, God left nothing that is not subject to them. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them. But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone” (See Hebrews 2:5–9).

Prayer- Lord, we marvel at your wisdom. Amen.
