Cleaning Copper and Silver

To clean copper, you need 1 cup each of vinegar, flour and salt. Mix them together. Spread gently on the outside of your copper pans and then gently wipe it off.

To clean silver, run 3 liters of hot water into the sink. Add 3 tablespoons of liquid fabric softener and 3 tablespoons of salt. Stir well. Then place a LONG sheet of aluminium foil on the bottom of the sink. The extra length lets you move the silver pieces in and out of the water. Place the tarnished silver on the foil, making sure it is covered with the water. Silver will be clean in about 10 seconds. Wipe residue off with a soft cloth.

While we are talking about silver…

For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. (1 Peter 1:18-19, NIV)

Prayer- Thanks God, for refining us like silver and testing us like gold. (Zechariah 13:9, NIV)
