Cleansing Work

When my friend cleaned her costume jewelry in vinegar, it dissolved the glue that held the stones in place.

Place a few bowls of vinegar (safely) around the room and let sit overnight. Because vinegar is an acid, it combines with odors that are generally alkaline and it neutralizes them.

Vinegar even cuts grease, kills germs and dissolves hard water stains.

Was vinegar at the crucifixion a symbol of the cleansing Christ was accomplishing on our behalf?

Immediately one of them ran and got a sponge. He filled it with wine vinegar, put it on a staff, and offered it to Jesus to drink. (Matthew 27:48, NIV)

Prayer- Father God, may the cleansing work of Christ never end in us. Amen.
