Clothesline Peace

My friend is the anxious type, but she is married to her complete opposite. While she paces the halls all night in fear, her husband peacefully snores the night away. In her words, “John could sleep on a clothesline.”

So I ask you, how much peace do you have? Are you in the halls, climbing the walls? Or are you repining on a line, so to speak?

And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7, AMP)

And I say all that just to say this. Have you taken advantage of that peace for yourself??

Prayer – Lord, help us remember that true peace is found only in totally trusting you, totally. Amen
