Computers and Child

I write these devotionals a month ahead so that the Everyday Christian.com staff can post them on site.

I was ready to send these in early in December and then I had ‘company.’ My little grandson visited and while he often watches TV in my office, he is very good about not touching my sewing or computer stuff.

That is until I foolishly left my work up on the screen and he had a go at it. Oh, happy day. Some devotionals disappeared never to be seen again. Others showed up full of sentences like this.

Our missionary friend holds our interest when he describes life out on the mission field. Of couhhfrfrhfrh

Does that happen to you? Your plans get corrupted by life? Yes, I thought so. Now, what do we do? I don’t know about you, but I get started writing again, dredging up fresh ideas for the first ones are now lost in the lost files section of both my brain and my computer.

Sigh. Note to self…secure what you can and accept the rest with gracious joy…because I love my dear little grandson more than I love my files.

Oh did I mention that the dear little thing pushed something that locked me out of my computer for several hours?

I read and applied this verse to my life for the sake of love.

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” (Luke 23:34a, NIV)

Prayer- Father, thank you for giving us a heart of love that makes it possible for us to forgive. Amen.
