Covid 19 and Me

In spite of all the safeguards I have lived with for the last two-three years, I just tested positive for Covid-19. Yes, in spite of four vaccinations, I still got the dreaded virus. You might well ask, what was the point of the vaccinations.

Here is the point. My unvaccinated friend just got out of hospital after a six- month- stay due to Covid. She had to learn to use her hands again. Her hair all fell out. She wears braces on her legs and she continues to be weak and easily tired.

I, on the other hand, feel like I have a bad case of laryngitis. My life continues as it was, except for isolating until I test negative again.

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. (And I might add…common sense!) (2 Timothy 1:7)

Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered. (Proverbs 28:26)

The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it. (Proverbs 27:12)

The ear that listens to life-giving reproof will dwell among the wise. (Proverbs 15:31)

May the Lord give us all wisdom and common sense as we choose our path.
