So you have a dream. You have plans and wishes and unfulfilled desires. And you pray…and pray…and pray… and God does not answer. You work and do all that He tells you to do and yet? Nothing happens!
Our family is in a situation like that right now. We pray. Friends Pray. Total strangers pray…still nothing happens. God speaks to us but his word is always ‘Wait.’ But we don’t want to wait! We want answers now,
We could quote verses like ‘Hope deferred makes the heart sick.’ (Proverbs 13:12a, NIV) but then we would have to follow it up with ones like this.
Why are you cast down, O my inner self? And why should you moan over me and be disquieted within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall yet praise Him, my Help and my God. (Psalm 42:5, AMP)
God knows better than we do and he says ‘Wait.’ So what do we do? We do what God says. We wait…and we pray. Why? Our hope is in God.
Prayer-Lord God, we praise your name and we trust your decision. After all, you are God!! for Christ who died so that we might trust! Amen.
