For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right. (Psalm 84:11, NLT)
Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? (Romans 8:32, NLT)
Don’t misunderstand what God says. Note the promises here. Withhold no good thing, freely gives us all things. Beware not to turn God’s word into your wish book. Demanding your way over others, boundless riches are not what God means at all.
You see, he gave his best when he gave his only son, Christ Jesus to live here on earth and to die for our sins. That is his best. Don’t cheapen that gift by turning it into your own selfish desires.
He does give us what is best for us, though we may not see it at the time. Those hard life things are God’s way of helping us change.
