Earth Day

Earth Day began in 1970 when U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson wanted to bring awareness to earth’s growing problems; however, this is not a new cause.

God spoke: “Let us make human beings in our image, make them reflecting our nature So they can be responsible for the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, the cattle, And, yes, Earth itself." (Genesis 1:26, MSG)

Unfortunately, we have not always taken this God-given responsibility seriously. That’s why the earth is in such a mess today.

Prayer- Lord, help us care for our little corner of your world with common sense and respect. For Christ who came to earth on our behalf. Amen.
