Is it any wonder that “ease” is the main syllable in the word “Easter”?
After all, “ease” means a comfortable and leisured state free from worries, problems, and restrictions. It also means a lack of difficulty in doing or achieving something. It is enabling something to take place more easily.
Aren’t these statements all true when it comes to our faith?
When we believe in Jesus, ask him to forgive our sins, a comfortable and leisured state free from worries, problems, and restrictions is available to us.
God cleared away any difficulties we had in achieving holiness before him. Now all this takes place quite easily; if we would but ask.
That sure makes for a fine Ease-ter, as I see it.
And he said to them, “Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen; He is not here. (Mark 16:6a, AMP)
Prayer – Thank you Lord, for all the plans you carried out so that we might have an Ease-ter to enjoy with all our hearts.
