Why does a large domestic white goose position itself in the center of the huge field while hundreds of Canada geese surround it from a safe distance? I have no idea, but when I saw that goose holding its head tall in the midst of its dark enemies, Christian truths came to mind.
Like that goose, we need not fear our enemies.
Psalm 23:4- Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me (NIV).
We are safe no matter how many enemies surround us.
Psalm 37:3- Trust in the Lordand do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture (NIV).
We are purified.
Isaiah 1:18-“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool (NIV).
We stand out in a crowd because God gave us his Holy Spirit!
Acts 2:38-Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (NIV).
Prayer: Lord, thank you for reminding us that we are on the winning side. In Christ. Amen.
