Eating Biblically can enlighten our knowledge of the Bible passage.
One day Jacob was cooking a stew. Esau came in from the field, starved. Esau said to Jacob, “Give me some of that red stew—I’m starved!” That’s how he came to be called Edom (Red). (Genesis 25:29, MSG)
The KJV calls it red pottage. Other translations say stew or red lentils. Here is your chance to try my versions of Esau’s Stew!
Chili in a Heartbeat
- 2 cans of kidney (or other type) beans, drained.
- I can diced tomatoes
- I envelope chili mix
- Chopped mushrooms, celery, peppers
- Heat and serve.
Chickpea Salad
- 1 can drained chickpeas
- Enough salsa to moisten.
- Mix well. Chill. Serve as side dish
