Escaping Satan’s Grip

Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, one of the Twelve. (Luke 22:3, NIV)

According to an article by Jan Cox, when we are born again, our Spirits are with Christ but our minds, bodies and souls remain earthbound. So in Judas’ case, he was led by his mind and his flesh – he always looked at the mission as power and money. (See John 12:4-5)

We open ourselves to trouble when our lives are not in line with Jesus, but don’t worry. Paul shows us how to escape such weakness.

“So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh." (Galatians 5:16, NIV).

Prayer- Lord, when the thief tries to steal, kill and destroy us, help us remember that Jesus came so that we might have life and live it to the full. (From John 10:10) Amen.
