Try as you might, egg white substitute will not whip up into meringue. It can’t. It isn’t real egg white. You can’t make a pretend something behave like the real thing.
You might want to whip up enthusiasm for Christ but a crowd full of pretenders just won’t cut it.
Faith is produced by believers. Pretenders just won’t make the cut.
Sometimes you don’t know who’s who till hard times strike. That will separate the real egg whites from the false (or if you like, the sheep from the goats) really fast. Faith stands up to the test, no matter how complicated or hard the whipping.
When the Son of Man comes in his glory with all of his angels, he will sit on his royal throne. The people of all nations will be brought before him, and he will separate them, as shepherds separate their sheep from their goats. (Matthew 25:31- 32, CEV)
Prayer – Lord, help us discern the real from the false and give us the courage to be true to the faith, no matter what. Amen
