Favourites

One of my friends persists in saying, “I know God loves you but he loves me best!” And we laugh with her but secretly think, “Really? He loves us all the same. Where do you get off saying such a thing?”

But then I read this verse.

When things were going great
I crowed, “I’ve got it made.
I’m God’s favorite.” (Psalm 30:6, MSG)

However, it doesn’t have my friend’s name in the verse. For that matter, mine isn’t there either. BUT when I am reading and claiming that verse for myself… it is for me. The same holds true for you … and yes, even my friend.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. (2 Corinthians 13:14, AMP)
