Feared Up

Fear is putting our feelings and actions ahead of God’s. (Keith Bandy)

We know this is a true statement because 2 Timothy 1:7 says that God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind/discipline.

Fear erupts in us when we do not trust God. Fear is the enemy of all that we know about God.

Are you afraid today? Hear this!

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. (1 John 4:18, NIV)

Waiting for God’s answers sometimes fills us with fear.

Instead we need to concentrate on remembering.

A-Remember all the previous times God met and helped you.

B-Remember how he has helped so many others that you know

C- Remember to obey. Do whatever he has told you to do.

God in you has more power that anything else that tries to take his place

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. (1 John 4:4, NIV)

Our one job is to believe. We will know his voice when he calls because the Bible promises that his sheep know his voice.

Prayer- Lord heal my roots of unbelief. Help me to believe what you say and do what you ask me to do. In Christ’s name. Amen.
