Fraidy Cat

What are you afraid to do? Take on a Sunday school class? Give a presentation at work? Learn to drive?  Fear not! There is nothing to fear!

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10, NIV)

Enlightened, encouraged, the future is clear.
But it’s not enough to come close; not enough to draw near.

Wilderness exit must be from the heart.
Don’t stand on the outside and not be a part

Partaking? Yes partners, yet not solidly indwelt.
Not trusting Holy Spirit hearts softly to melt.

Hardened hearts in a wilderness happened to teach
Hearts hardened by disbelief with God’s rest out of reach.

Well friends, if we have asked the Holy Spirit into our lives, if we have made him our Lord and Saviour, what is there to fear? Get on with that which you fear most; because you can!

Prayer – Lord, help us do it afraid! Amen
