The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association concluded the four-city “Rock the River” tour Sunday in Minneapolis. The four concerts drew more than 100,000 concertgoers to cities along the Mississippi River – Minneapolis, St. Louis, Baton Rouge, La., and Davenport, Iowa. A combination of Christian rock and hip-hoppers attracted crowds of teens and young adults. In order to follow up on commitments to Christ made through the festival experience, the ministry has launched Velocity, a series of seminars in the cities where the concerts took place. The foreword of the Velocity study guide cites verses Philippians 2:5-7, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, 2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Timothy 2:5-6 and John 20:20-31 for young Christians to contemplate in understanding the relationship between God and man through Christ.
