Hacked is Hacked

Hack means to cut something with a sharp tool, to cut through something that is in your way, to chop something into parts, to get into someone’s computer data, to cope with something, cough, or hit a basketball player’s arm or shin.

Nowhere was it defined as something that changes your life… like using an old CD spindle carrier for a lunch box bagel.

I finally checked out ‘the modern’ definition of hack.

Now it stands for something that a-displays cleverness or ingenuity, b-solves some kind of problem, c-is not a well-known solution, d- and may not be the most straight-forward solution.

Under those conditions, Christianity qualifies as a hack because a-it is a clever God-devised answer for sin we cannot erase on our own, b-it solves our sin problem completely. C-Not enough people know about Christ and what He offers d-and it is not a solution we would choose, because we first try to solve everything on our own.

Whatever the current meaning of hack…Christ was, is and evermore will be faithful to save us from our sins

For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”(Hebrews 8:12, NIV)

Prayer – Thank you, God. You hacked into our lives; and gave us forgiveness, salvation, and grace. Amen.
