Hold On To The One Who’s Holding You

God is always with you, even when it feels like He is not, He is there.

“The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8

Hold onto the One who has promised to hold on to you. He has called you and claimed you as his own.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.” Romans 8:28-30 (NIV)

As I've said many times before, becoming a Christian does not guarantee a life without trial and tribulation, sorrow and pain. In fact, as Christians, we will probably go through many trials. However, it is through those trials that we learn to trust God more and lean not on our own understanding but acknowledge Him in everything.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart  and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)

He will refine us and mold us and shape us into the instruments He needs for His glory.

“For you, God, tested us; you refined us like silver. You brought us into prison and laid burdens on our backs. You let people ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance.” Psalm 66:10-12 (NIV)

But oh He loves you and me,

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3:16-17 (NIV)

For God so loved the world, He loved all of us so much that He did not want any of us to perish. He wants to hold on to us. He is holding on to us. We just need to acknowledge that.

God is always here with you. He desires to walk with you hand in hand, to carry you and hold, but He allows you to make the choice to receive His free gift of love through eternal life in Jesus Christ or reject and wander on your own. The choice is yours.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

It's a free gift, given to any and all who truly believe and call on the name of the Lord.

for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8 ( NIV)

Allow God into your heart. In times of trials and in times of doubt, let Him guide you. Let Him be your strength. Wake up to the morning Son. Hold on to the One who is holding you.

“But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.” Psalm 59:16 (NIV)
