Holiday This

Too bad some of them will have disappeared before you get this list but you can mark your calendar for next year!

September 4th: Eat an Extra Dessert Day (Count me in!)
September 6th: National Fight Procrastination Day (Let’s do it and mean it!)
September 8th: National Grandparents Day (I qualify here too!)
September 10th: TV Dinner Day (Any reason to eat is a good one!)
September 18th: Rice Krispies Treats Day (The beloved childhood treat!)
September 21st: World Gratitude Day (Why not take part?)
September 24th: National Punctuation Day (School teachers of the world unite!)
September 27th: Hug a Vegetarian Day (Leaves more meat for the rest of us!)

These may seem silly to you but to someone, they are a big deal. People are different and that is okay. Refusing to recognize that is a major part of our world problem.

Your skin and mine, your vote and mine, your job and mine…all of these things may be different, but underneath we are all the same. When it comes right down to it, we all want an extra dessert.

When God says love one another, he actually means it.

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. (1 Corinthians 13:1-3, NIV)

Prayer- God, thank you for loving us the same way you ask us to love in return. Amen.
