How Bad Are We

God is a forgiving God.

The Lord is long-suffering and slow to anger, and abundant in mercy and loving-kindness, forgiving iniquity and transgression. (Numbers 14:18a)

He calls us to repentance.

And said, Truly I say to you, unless you repent (change, turn about) and become like little children [trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving], you can never enter the kingdom of heaven [at all]. (Matthew 18:3, AMP)

But there is one thing he will not forgive. No, its not murder or rape, theft or abuse; its this.

Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy (every evil, abusive, injurious speaking, or indignity against sacred things) can be forgiven men, but blasphemy against the [Holy] Spirit shall not and cannot be forgiven. (Matthew 12:32, AMP)

So again I say it. We must watch our mouths!

Prayer – Lord without your strength in this matter, we will fail. Help us oh God, we plead. Amen
