For the Israelites, it took forty years.
Remember the way the Lord your God led you in the wilderness these forty years.
His reasons?
That He might humble you, testing you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.
He humbled you; let you be hungry; fed you with manna which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that He might make you understand that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord.

Are we still learning those lessons?
Are we humbled before the Lord yet? Are we distorting the truth to suit ourselves, fighting to get our own way?
Friends, God is in charge. Fight all you like. Complain all you like. The result will always be the same. God wins. And eventually you will agree with his point of view…or perish.
