Lift your knees…march in place… became a little boring in my exercise class, so I amused myself by watching how well the other participants were following the leader’s instructions.
One lady was out of step, another was kicking sideways instead of front to back. Some found the movements too challenging and so just sat in their chairs. Why weren’t people following the suggested movements?
I thought about God, who offers instructions to us every single day. While we all start out with good intentions, some of us don’t hear him clearly, others do just what is convenient and others simply give up.
Then, because I was so busy watching how the others were doing, I found myself out of step. Perhaps I’d better tend to my own obedience and let God handle the others. .

Prayer- Lord, who are we to judge how well another is doing? May we keep our eyes on the path you set for us while you deal with the other folks. Amen.
