Humans and Animals

All living things grow, move, use energy/food, make waste, reproduce, breathe and react to other things.  As well, all living things need food, water, shelter, space and air to survive.

The one thing that separates humans from animals is our intellect.

Wouldn’t you think that would keep us out of the kind of trouble that animals encounter? No, apparently not. Like cattle chasing a piece of grass on the other side of the fence, or pigs routing in the dirt, we try to force through the boundaries that God set for us.

He asks so little. Worship only me, don’t misuse my name, honour your parents, be a faithful spouse, don’t steal or lie, and yet…

Jesus told the people who had faith in him, “If you keep on obeying what I have said, you truly are my disciples.(John 8:31, CEV)

Prayer – Lord, give us grace to use the common sense you gave us. Amen
