One gal hoped to lose a few pounds at her weigh-in place. Rather than being down 2 pounds, she was up .5. I loved her attitude. She declared, “Praise the Lord. It’s only a matter of decimals!” And she plowed on through the next week.
That’s how it is folks. When life doesn’t turn up the decimals we want, here is the attitude we should have.
Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. (Habakkuk 3:17-18, KJV)
Prayer – Thanks God, for giving us the grace to keep moving forward into victory in spite of the decimals of life. Amen
