As you know, I’m a motivational speaker and one of my most requested messages is ‘The Healing Power of Laughter.’ People expect it to be funny and it is for the most part. Audiences love it. However a few pouters always crowd the room. They don’t want to laugh at anybody or anything and they don’t want you to laugh either. They remain intent on gloom and they want everyone else to share their glump.
There is an old saying: “Laugh and the world laughs with you; cry and you cry alone,” but honestly, sometimes I question its truth. One sad sack can wreck an entire audience. Humour is 90% laughing at the world and 10% laughing at your own self.
Lighten Up Glumpies! The sun will come out tomorrow! Or better yet, the Son is with you now…laugh a little, because the truth is…
