List of 2009 best Christian workplaces certified

The Best Christian Workplaces Institute (BCWI) has certified 62 locations in the United States and 12 locations in Canada for its 2009 survey. The survey, which seeks to point high-quality work environments in Christian settings, included publishers, churches and ministries among its list. The survey involved 13,254 employees in 140 organizations across North America. The survey covered several workplace issues. Included were job satisfaction, organizational commitment, Christian witness, supervisory effectiveness, work satisfaction, personal growth and development, management effectiveness, customer/supporter satisfaction, teamwork, communications and pay and benefits. “No one can deny that Christian organizations are feeling the effects of the nation’s worry over the economy. Although we believe that Christian organizations should do all they can to pay competitively, our survey shows that there are other factors even more influential in making your employees feel blessed by their work, including work being a place of community,” said Al Lopus, BCWI president. “The Best Christian Workplaces survey consistently reveals that Christian employees appreciate God-glorifying relationships shaped by the fruit of the Spirit.” The Best Christian Workplaces Institute has surveyed more than 80,000 employees across North America in the past eight years.
