Love a Crank

I want to love my neighbor;

Even though she’s such a crank.

I’d like to joy up Jesus

And be to her quite frank.

I’d like to send her peace on earth;

Must I move her big snow bank?

I hoped to bake her something,

But my homemade bread—It stank.

The cookies all got swallowed,

But truly they were rank.

There’s nothing left me truly-

But to hug my neighbor crank!

Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord. (Leviticus 19:18, NIV)
